Fair Isle Workshop with Amy O'Neill Houck and Laurie Gonyea

Learn this traditional technique as Amy & Laurie show you how to knit this season's fashion trend, knitted cuffs. You will learn how to knit with more than one color at a time, to knit in the round using one or two circular needles, a little bit of crocheting, and how to read a chart. Each participant will be supplied with a "Fair Isle Cuffs Kit."

Afternoon Field Trip to Stitch DC - Capitol Hill

We will take a short bus ride to Washington DC's premiere yarn store for a "Yarn Tasting!" Marie Connolly, propietor of the three Stitch DC locations, will introduce you to the new yarns for the coming season and let you have a "taste" of the yummy offerings. There will be plenty of time to roam and shop in this beautiful store.

Book Signing and Reading Back at the Tabard
with Mystery Writer, Maggie Sefton

Join us back at the Tabard for a book signing and reading from knitting mystery writer, Maggie Sefton. What better way to wrap up an exceptional day of knitting than by enjoying an assortment of wines, cheeses, and other delicious hor d'oeuvres as you sit back, relax, and knit while Maggie reads from her latest book, A Deadly Yarn.
